PDRM Selangor Merdeka Ride - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. How do I register for the PDRM Selangor Merdeka Ride?
To register for the event, please purchase at the Heyjom platform and follow the instructions on the registration page.
2. What is the registration fee, and what does it include?
The registration fee is RM 70. It covers your participation in the PDRM Selangor Merdeka Ride, event t-shirt, medal, event bag, event sticker and Decathlon e-voucher. It also includes access to water and refreshment stations along the route.
3. Can I transfer my registration to another person?
No, registrations are non-transferable. Each participant must register individually.
4. What is the minimum age requirement for participation?
Participants must be at least 18 years old at the time of registration to join the event. Minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian who must also register for the event.
5. Will there be medical support during the event?
Yes, we will have medical teams stationed at various points along the route. In case of any medical emergencies, please contact the nearest event marshal or medical personnel.
6. Are e-bikes allowed in the event?
Yes, motorized bicycles are allowed for the PDRM Selangor Merdeka Ride.
7. What safety measures are in place during the event?
The safety of our participants is a top priority. All participants must wear helmets throughout the event. We also have event marshals and traffic control personnel to ensure a safe ride.
8. Is there a cut-off time for the event?
Yes, there will be a designated cut-off time for the event. Participants must complete the ride within this time frame.
9. Can I get a refund if I can't participate after registering?
Refund requests will be considered within the specified deadline. Please refer to our Refund and Cancellation Policy in the Terms and Conditions section on the registration website for more details.
10. Will the event take place rain or shine?
The event will take place rain or shine, except in extreme weather conditions that may pose a safety risk to participants. Please check the event social media and your registered email for any weather-related updates.
11. Can I pick up my event kit on the day of the event?
Event kits will be available for pick-up 1 week before the event at Decathlon Shah Alam. We encourage participants to pick up their kits in advance, if possible, to avoid any last-minute rush.
12. Can I bring my family and friends to cheer me on?
Absolutely! We welcome friends and family to support our participants. They can also enjoy the Carnival we have going on while waiting for the cycling event to complete. Please refer to our social media for more info on the Carnival.

PDRM Selangor Merdeka Ride - Terms and Conditions
Please read all the terms and conditions ("Terms") carefully. Each individual who registers to participate in PDRM Selangor Merdeka Ride 2023 ("the Event") (and, where applicable, in the case of a participant below the age of 18 years, the participant's parent, guardian or legal representative) ("Participant") declares and acknowledges to have read, understood and agreed to the Terms below and undertakes to comply with and be bound by the same.
PDRM Selangor Merdeka Ride 2023 ('Event') is owned by PDRM Selangor and Super Tuesday Cycling Club. ('Organiser').
1. Registration and Participation:
1.1 By registering for the "PDRM Selangor Merdeka Ride 2023," participants agree to abide by all the terms and conditions set forth herein.
1.2 Participants must be at least 18 years old at the time of registration to participate in the event. Minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian who must also register for the event.
1.3 Participants must provide accurate and up-to-date information during the registration process.
1.4 Registration is non-transferable. Participants may not transfer their registration to another individual.
2. Health and Safety:
2.1 Participants must be physically fit and healthy to participate in the cycling event. It is recommended that all participants undergo a medical check-up before the event.
2.2 Participants are responsible for ensuring that their bicycles are in good working condition and comply with all safety standards.
2.3 All participants must wear appropriate safety gear, including helmets, throughout the entire event.
3. Event Rules:
3.1 Participants must follow all instructions and rules provided by the event organizers and officials.
3.2 Participants must obey all traffic laws and regulations during the event.
3.3 The event organizers reserve the right to modify the event route or cancel the event due to unforeseen circumstances or safety concerns. In the case of event cancellation, participants may be entitled to a partial or full refund at the discretion of the organizers.
4. Waiver and Release:
4.1 By participating in the "PDRM Selangor Merdeka Ride," participants acknowledge and assume all risks associated with the event and hereby release the event organizers, sponsors, and affiliates from any liability for injuries, damages, or losses incurred during the event.
4.2 Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the event organizers, sponsors, and affiliates from any claims arising from their participation in the event.
5. Photography and Media:
5.1 Participants consent to the use of their names, photographs, videos, and likenesses for promotional purposes related to the "PDRM Selangor Merdeka Ride" event.
6. Refund and Cancellation Policy:
6.1 Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing to the event organizers by the specified deadline. Refunds will be issued at the discretion of the organizers.
6.2 The registration fee is non-refundable unless the event is canceled by the organizers.
7. Personal Belongings:
7.1 Participants are responsible for their personal belongings during the event. The event organizers will not be liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.
